They tried to make her get unnecessary work before they would sign a pre surgery concent form.

My wife was scheduled for knee surgery. She went to Bright Now dental to get a pre-surgery check to make sure there was no infection in her mouth. This is a routine requirement before any surgery. The dentist at Bright Now in Lawndale seemed to be OK with signing the form until the front office got involved. Suddenly she needed over $1200 worth of work before the dentist would sign the surgery consent form. All the form was asking was whether there was any infection in her mouth, not if there was any dental work that needed to be done. She asked to see the recommendations and was told that they were not able to share this with patients. My wife was certified for medical office work and knew this was not true. In fact, the office was required by law to give this information to the patient. After some tense confrontation, the person at Bright Now gave in and gave her a copy. None of the work they listed was urgent and none of the work showed any evidence of infection, but they still refused to sign the consent form. At my urging, she went to my dentist and the consent form was signed after a routine checkup. They still send mail requesting she come back to them which pissed me off enough to write this review. I would not recommend this dental office to an enemy.

Fratt Dental Coroporation sounds shady. This is usual information, considering this shady place is on the list to provide dental care to developmentally disabled citizens who are vulnerable to such scams.

Thank U so much for alerting the public with this valuable honest information.

Sounds like the dentist wasn't bad at Fratt, just the "policies". That said, the dentist should have been your wive's advocate, not sit like coward and do nothing.

Fratt Dental Office on katella & Beach

Well I think this office used to be Western Dental at one time. I called to schedule for my 2 kids to have their teeth cleaning. A day before I my appointment, someone from the dentist office called to confirm my appoinment, I then asked her that how long will it take for my kids to be done with the teeth cleaning procedure, she then told me that it will take approximately 45 min. to 1 hour for each of the children. I to her that I have a meeting tomorrow so I just wants to make sure that this I would have time to spare. The next morning, I took my childrens to the dentist office(Fratt Dental Corporation)on Katella in Anaheim. I came in, talk to on of the receptionist(which later told me shes an Asst Mgr) and want to confirm once again of the procedure because I don't really have much time and my children needs to get back to school. She then told me that again at most 1 hour per each children. I waited and waited.... She came out with my file for an update with seem unreasonable(retarded) well, let that one slide. A moment later she told me that the office only have one dentist in the office in today, so that for each child only receive a routine checkup and an Xray. If the time spare...they can do the children cleaning procedure. THEN, I'll need to reschedule a next appointment if I want the teeth cleaning for my children.(which make no sence. I just go their to waste all my time for that, thats a no brainer) I told her that I made this appoinment for teeth cleaning and not for a routine checkup and/or the xray. Thats a waste of my time and my children had been out of school for this, your office staff could had told me that when I call in for the appoinment.I wouldn't have never made this appointment. I took off work and my children took off school. She (the Asst Office Mgr.)then changes her story and said thats their office procedures- Thats is Bullcraps I tell you. Then I ask to speak to someone in a higher position. I got to talk to the Mgr. and she is full of *** too. Bad customer service and incompetent.

This happened at the Bright Now (formerly Castle Dental)in Venice. Before my treatments I always had the office check with my insurance company to see how much they would cover then tell me how much was my responsibility before I would agree to treatment.

I always paid my part right after the treatment. On my last visit I paid the $500 plus they said was my responsibility. Now they have taken out a collection on me for $628 (that has been reported on my credit report) because the insurance didn't cover the difference - how is that my fault?

I only agreed to the treatment THEY said would cost me $500. I did my part and now I am getting punished.

Fratt Dental Corporation AND Castle Dental AND Bright Now! Dental are A-L-L one in the same.

Disgusting receptionists/office personnel!!! I do not why they even take appointments, you wait and wait and wait 1 to 2 hours, then they tell you they had emergencies. EVERY time I or a member of my family go there I hear this same song and dance LIE.

OR you are told they don't have time to do the simple procedures you made an appointment for, i.e., full mouth xrays/exam and teeth cleaned!!! We are leaving this *** group!!!

I had very bad experience at this office and it turned it belongs to Fratt Dental too. No wonder.

After scheduling everyone's time in my family and waited for 30 min, we were told the address in insurance card is their another branch at Windchester.

***! Even worse they lied that said Aetna made that mistake -- How could Aetna knew their another branch if they didn't provide that info.
